Metastatic Pattern of Spread of Gastric Adenocarcinoma
Introduction:
Adenocarcinoma arising from the stomach. Often presents as an ulcerated mass. However, it can be of a diffuse, infiltrative type (linitis plastica appearance); tumor cells infiltrate the submucosa and can be difficult to find on biopsy.
Prevalence: Uncommon Metastasis Frequency: Common
